Currently more than three quarters of companies in the European Union say they have difficulties finding workers with the necessary skills, and the latest figures from Eurostat indicate that only 37% of adults receive training on a regular basis.
To promote lifelong learning, Member States have endorsed the societal objectives of the Europe 2030 Strategy of at least 60% of adults taking part in training activities each year, already presenting their national contribution towards the achievement of this objective.
This extreme is also important to achieve the objective of an employment rate of at least 78% by 2030.
